The Team with a Dream
So, as we come to chapter 3, we discover that the building has begun. Here in this chapter is faithfully recorded by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit the names of those that worked on the wall. They are recorded because God wants them to be remembered. They are Jerusalem?s dream team. They came together and pulled off what others thought would be impossible. God makes sure that they are remembered for their accomplishment in fulfilling His purpose.
Today I want to highlight to you in Nehemiah 3:1-32 seven approaches to re-building the wall of Jerusalem that ensured it?s success. What is significant about this memory and distinguishes it from many other memories we have in our life is that the memory of what happened then is something that is still happening today! We not only remember through the pages of the scripture what happened when the Holy Spirit moved in the early church in the book of Acts but we also are witnesses and for some of us participants in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit today! And for those who have and are experiencing Him, it truly is unforgettable! Continue reading

God’s Resolution
A question kept popping up in my mind, “What about God? What is His resolution for my life?” Indeed, as I thought about it, I realized that no matter what resolution I made for the New Year ? if it wasn?t centered in his desire and plan for my life then it would amount to nothing. Yet, if my resolutions are founded on the instruction of the Holy Spirit then I can find strength and resolve in the Lord?s completing those resolutions through me in the New Year! Continue reading
